The NHS trust’s award-winning volunteer scheme ‘Come Dine with Me’ will be one of the topics up for discussion at an event aimed at improving the experience of patients.
Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust’s ‘Come Dine with Me’ project was voted overall winner in the 2014 Health Quality Improvement Partnership Awards.
The scheme trains volunteers to sit with patients at mealtimes and give help to those who need it.
The meeting will also include a short presentation from the urology team and how the Trust is investing in technology to improve patient care.
Patients and their families are welcome to attend the two-hour event which will be held at the Clinical Education Centre, Southport and Formby District General Hospital from 12.30pm on Friday, January 16. Light refreshments will be provided.
