Union Street Traders urge you to visit this great street this Summer. Located in the fastest growing area of town known as The Northern Quarter. Situated in between Lord Street and Hoghton Street there are so many hidden gems that really are worth a visit. It is a quaint up-market street that has benefited from the lovely flower displays provided by the Southport Bid.

Tapper’s

9 Union Street.

An independent, family run neighbourhood cafe where you are greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. They boast that all the food is lovingly homemade on the premises and ingredients are sourced locally where possible. Owner Catherine Tapper has worked hard over the past six years to ensure there is a super, efficient and friendly team that focuses on consistency and very high standards. The bagels are not to be missed, especially the Bacon, Brie & Chilli Jam one. Rumour has it they are expanding to Formby, so watch this space for more information.

A lovely friendly Chinese restaurant that also offers a take away service. Open for lunch and dinner. The crispy duck is plentiful and out of this world.
