Vicious dog attack leaves owner warning others of violent incident

Dog walkers in Southport are being warned of a vicious dog and an out of control owner after a small pup was attacked on Friday 31 January.

A cockapoo was viciously attacked by a larger dog after its owner failed to control it near to the sea wall and Pleasureland.

The cockapoo’s owner said “I heard my dog screaming and confronted the other dog’s owner but she refused to give me her details and said her dog had every right to be off leash.

“My dog was bleeding from the attack. Please I ask everyone to look out for this woman and be careful with your dogs. Mine was on lead and I was trying to pick her up when this dog attacked us. The woman is wearing the blue purple coat. “
