Traffic is at a standstill in Ainsdale after a collision involving two vans and a tractor.
Liverpool Road in Ainsdale is backed up with traffic after two vans were rear-ended by a farm tractor near Pinfold Lane.
Police have been called and temporarily halted traffic travelling towards Southport as they clear debris.
Significant damage has been caused to at least one van, thought to be the unlucky vehicle caught in the middle of the shunt.
Nobody is thought to have been seriously injured in the accident and all drivers stopped at the scene.
They are now helping police with their enquiries.
