Urgent appeal on behalf of the Sefton Foodbank Network

We are a group of charities, community groups and faith organisations who are working with Sefton Council to create a Sefton Foodbank Network in partnership with national charity, the Trussell Trust.

Throughout December there will be collections of non-perishable food items at some of the local supermarkets. We are looking for volunteers to distribute information flyers and collect donations outside stores. If you are able and willing to spend a couple of hours volunteering, please contact Vicky Keeley at the Volunteer Centre Sefton 01704 501024 ext 206.

Sefton CVS and Sefton Council, are appealing to local organisations in the VCF, public and private sectors to set up collection points in your organisations in the upcoming months, to generate and store as much stock as possible so we can get started. This can be assisted by encouraging staff and volunteers to bring in non-perishable food items from the list below. The Foodbank Network will then be in contact with you to organise collection or where food items can be dropped off.

For VCF and volunteering enquires, please contact Vicky Keeley at the Volunteer Centre Sefton 01704 501024 ext 206 or email Vicky@volunteeringsefton.org.uk. For Council departments, private sector and other organisations, please contact Steph Prewett on 0151 934 3485 or email steph.prewett@sefton.gov.uk.
