UPDATE Travelodge Hotel Ribble Building Lord Street Southport (Nov 2012)

Contractors for Travelodge have almost completed the first floor rear extention on the Ribble Building, Lord Street, Southport.

The Grade II listed former bus station will be turned into a six-storey, 101-bedroom hotel & restaurant complex.

The building will also include major international restaurant with work expected to be completed early 2013 creating 20-30 new jobs

The dilapidated eyesore has been empty for more than 10 years and has been plagued by a string of failed proposals.
