Signs go up at Travelodge Southport
New Travelodge signs have been placed on hoardings around the building site informing the public that Travelodge is coming to Southport’s famous Lord Street.
The Grade II listed former bus station will be turned into a six-storey, 101-bedroom hotel & restaurant complex. The building will also include major international restaurant with work expected to be completed early 2013 creating 20-30 new jobs.
The dilapidated eyesore was empty for more than 10 years and has been plagued by a string of failed proposals.
