Drug dealer Richard Thomley from Knowsley Road in Southport was handed 15 year sentence after slashing.

The Convicted cocaine and heroin dealer Richard Thomley has 32 previous convictions for 92 offences.

 

Update: Man charged after brutal Southport stabbing 

Merseyside Police has charged a man with assault after a stabbing on Sunday, 8 January in Southport.

48-year-old Richard Thomas Thomley from Knowsley Road has been charged with Section 18 assault and remanded in custody to appear on Tuesday, 7 February at South Sefton Magistrates Court.

The victim has been discharged from hospital.

Officers were called to Knowsley Road at around 5pm yesterday (Sunday 8 January).

On arrival they found a man who was bleeding from a wound to his neck. The injury is believed to have been caused by a knife.

The man was taken to hospital were his condition is described as serious but not life threatening.

An investigation is underway including house-to house, witness and CCTV enquiries. A scene is in place to allow for a forensic examination.

A 48 year-old man from Southport has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He has been taken to a police station where he will be questioned by detectives.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with any information that may help the investigation to come forward.
