    Typhoon confirmed for 2018 Southport Air Show


    The jaw dropping Typhoon has been confirmed for the 2018 Southport Air Show.Set to thunder through the skies over Southport beach, the Typhoon will perform on the third day of the Air Show (Sunday July 8), rounding off a fantastic three days of aerial and ground displays.The Typhoon provides the RAF with a multi-role combat aircraft, capable of being deployed in a full spectrum of air operations, from air policing, to peace support, through to high intensity conflict.

    Starting with an exhilarating Friday night line up of the Red Arrows, pyrotechnic laden aircraft and a thundering firework finale, the Southport Air Show promises none stop fun for all the family between July 6 & 8.

    To make this an incredible day out for the family there will be a host of fun filled activities taking place on the ground including military tanks, a diving tank, replica aircraft, flight simulators plus the return of the much loved beach explosions

    Cllr Marion Atkinson, Sefton Council’s Labour Cabinet Member Regeneration and Skills, said: “The Typhoon is a brilliant display that has been added to the programme and are excited for the weekend which is promising to be a great family weekend of aviaton”

    Discounted tickets for each day of the Air Show are available to buy in advance until Friday 20 June and start at just £6.50 (including all fees).
