17th April 2020

A trucker and a convoy of joy spreading truck drivers have organised an emotional drive by in Hesketh Bank to pay tribute to NHS staff and key workers.

Stephen Raby (the leader of the convoy) organised this as he’s very passionate about the work the NHS do for the village and initially wanted to drive past his daughters house, Lydia Johnson, who is a district nurse to show his support for her.

She went back to work 2 weeks ago after maternity leave so she really has a special place in his heart.

His other daughter Alice Raby said’ “She loved it so much and so did the rest of the village! It was great and to see the support everyone was giving was so heartwarming. And also all the local businesses coming together on the road! “
