Tree collapse brings trains to a halt

A collapsed tree in Birkdale has brought trains to a standstill.

Rail replacement busses are running between Southport and Hillside after a huge tree was torn down in the high winds causing major commuter woes.

the tree fell on the line between Southport and Birkdale station and can’t yet be removed due to its size.
