UPDATE – TITAN makes six arrests as part of drugs conspiracy investigation

Five people arrested on Tuesday morning by detectives from Titan, the North-west regional organised crime unit, have tonight been charged with drugs offences.

They are:

• Darren Roy HIGHFIELD, DOB 9.12.71, originally from Hollybank Way, Sheffield, currently residing at HMP Doncaster, has been charged with conspiracy to supply amphetamine (Class B)

• Warren BENNETT, DOB 14.12.78, originally from Silverdale Drive, Preston, currently residing at HMP Haverigg has been charged with conspiracy to supply amphetamine (Class B)

• Kenneth PRITCHARD, DOB 5.7.48, originally from Manor Crescent, Ormskirk, currently residing at HMP Preston has been charged with conspiracy to supply amphetamine and cocaine (Class A and B)

• Kathleen PRITCHARD, 26.8.54 (aged 60) of Manor Crescent, Burscough, Ormskirk has been charged with conspiracy to supply amphetamine and cocaine (Class A and B)

• Dean STEPHENS, DOB 6.2.80 (aged 35) originally from Egerton in Skelmersdale, currently residing at HMP Haverigg has been charged with conspiracy to supply amphetamine (Class B)

All five will appear before Liverpool City Magistrates Court on Tuesday 9th June 2015.

Detectives from Titan, the North-west’s regional organised crime unit, have arrested five people in the third phase of a large-scale investigation into drugs supply this morning (Tuesday 2nd June 2015).

The four men and one woman have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs and are currently being questioned by Titan detectives at police stations across the region.

The four men were produced from prisons in the north of England while the woman was arrested at a house in Burscough near Ormskirk in West Lancashire.

They are:

• A 43-year-old man from Sheffield, South Yorkshire
• A 36-year-old man from Preston, Lancashire
• A 66-year-old man from Burscough, Ormskirk
• A 35-year-old man from Skelmersdale, Lancashire
• A 60-year-old woman from Burscough, Ormskirk

Today’s arrests follow ten made in the past fortnight as part of the same Titan investigation.

All ten have been charged.
