Southport boxer Mike Stafford will fight for the Commonwealth title next month. The Southport cruiserweight has been out of the ring since beating Russ Henshaw in May this year, will challenge Luke Watkins for the 200lb belt on the December 2 2017. Stafford was originally meant to fight last Friday at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool, as part of his manager Steve Wood’s show, but withdrew from that contest in favour of taking this more lucrative opportunity at the Leicester Arena.
