Photo: Taxi passenger cut free, Preston New Road
The emergency services were called Preston New Road Southport at around 5pm this evening following a report of a three car collision, Monday 7 September 2015.
A Vauxhall Astra ran into the rear of a taxi traveling towards Southport causing it to shunt the car in front.
The road was closed in both directions whilst the emergency services were in attendance.
Two Fire engines from Southport Community Fire Station attended the scene and cut the passenger free the taxi as a precautionary measure.
Paramedics treated the injured persons at the scene.
