Three car crash on Southport’s Marine Drive

Emergency services were called to Marine Drive, Southport this afternoon afternoon after three cars collided at the entrance of the car park, Monday 29 August.

Merseyside Police were called at 12.20pm to reports of a collision involving a Renault Scenic, a Maza MX5 and a Vauxhall Mokka.

Paramedics attended however no one was taken to hospital as nobody involved sustained any serious injuries.

A wheel came off two vehicles during the crash.

The road was closed northbound, up to the next junction at Kingsway, while police cleared the scene.

Motorists had long delays along the Esplanade and Victoria Way, Sharon Mckenzie said:” It took us nearly half an hour to get from morrisons to Queens Road nightmare.”
