Thomas Eaton has absconded from prison

POLICE in Lancashire are appealing for information on the whereabouts of a man who has absconded from prison.

Thomas Eaton, 37, from Liverpool, went missing from HMP Kirkham on Tuesday 31 March after failing to return from a period of temporary licence.

He was sentenced to five years imprisonment in December 2012 for possession of a firearm.

He is described as 5ft 8in tall with blue eyes, short dark brown hair and has a scar on his right eyebrow. He speaks with a Liverpool accent and sometimes uses the surnames “Chapman” and “Allt”. It is believed he could be in the Wavertree or Toxteth areas of Liverpool.

Officers are advising anyone who knows of Eaton’s whereabouts not to approach him but to contact their local police on 101 with any information.
