Local artist, Roy Munday, is starting a new art class for beginners this autumn at the St. Thomas Millennium Centre, Lydiate, one Saturday per month. Roy told OTS news. “I started the class back last September after being contacted by people who couldn’t make any of my weekly classes and was surprised that it immediately filled up. Now that those members can work more independently, I can take a new intake of beginners, starting on October 13th.” Roy added. “The class is suitable for both beginners and those more advanced and artists can learn at their own pace in a relaxed environment.” Roy explained. “Some people cannot commit to a weekday because of work, so an all day class one Saturday a month is ideal. And, weather permitting, we sometimes work out of doors, directly from the subject.” The class also offers members opportunities to exhibit their work and to visit major exhibitions.
