The Mighty Herald Juniors dominate the biggest football tournament in England


The North West R&T Trophy now in its 15th year has earned the reputation as being one of the leading youth soccer tournaments in the north of England. The tournament consistently attracts large numbers of teams with many entries coming from England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

The Herald continued to dominate and pick up silverware at all ages.

Herald Under 8s won the championship
Under 9s won the championship and also the sporting trophy
Under 12s won the year above.
Herald Reds won the sporting for playing a year above.

Heral Junior Club president Jay Hawkes told OTS News: “This club was started in December 2016 for 4 boys and have gone from strength to strength in becoming a massive force in junior grassroots football in becoming one of the most popular and recognised club about.

“We are proud of what we’ve achieved at every age group and are looking forward to next season with the progress every team is making.

“A lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes not just on the field.

We have all the managers to thank and parents for there time and support.
