Last Post Office on Lord Street now closed

UPDATE January 5 2016

OTSnews can confirm that the last remaining Post Office on Lord Street has temporary closed. Sadly the post office did not open on Monday January 4 2016.

A Post Office Spokesperson said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of the Post Office branch in Lord Street North. We would like to reassure customers that we are working hard to restore the service to the community as soon as possible and are committed to maintaining services in the area. In the meantime, customers can access Post Office services at Southport or Hesketh Drive branches.”

Newspapers were left in the doorway of the neighbouring property. The postman above was confused because he had deliveries and had to call a friend for confirmation.

A message on the cash machine says “Out Of Service”.
