Southport’s John Nolan aka theantiquesman was filmed in the Liverpool show today (Thursday 11th September 2014) and will appear on a future Antiques Roadshow.

Nolan was asked to take the abstract deeds in by the BBC.

The deeds of the World Heritage Centre, the Liverpool sea front known as The Three Graces.

This incredible  find was discovered in a draw of a desk.

Nolan was asked how he felt when he first saw the abstract deeds. His reply was “astonishment”, a World Heritage site and I am holding abstract deeds.

Just think how a Frenchman would feel holding the deeds to the Eiffel tower or an Indian  holding the deeds to the Taj Mahal. I am from Liverpool and it is the sea front that Liverpool is now built around.”

OTS News thanks the BBC for their kind hospitality that was showed to OTS by the Producer, Experts and staff and members of the Cathedral.

Hosted by Fiona Bruce, Antiques Roadshow is now into its 35th year and is one of the BBC’s biggest outside broadcast series, attracting around seven million viewers.

There was 26 antiques and fine arts experts on hand today to discuss and evaluate the public’s items. The show employs 90 BBC staff including lighting, sound, make-up, runners and riggers, plus 25 local stewards.

Each location averages 1,500 – 2,000 members of the public bringing their items and filming is divided into two editions, with the Liverpool shows scheduled to be shown between Christmas and next spring.

Fiona Bruce is into her seventh year presenting the show, and said she had been honoured to take over presenting Antiques Roadshow from Michael Aspel.
