The busiest road in Southport today isn’t Lord Street or Eastbank Street – it’s right outside the Atkinson.
All day long delivery vans, trucks and even opportunistic shoppers have been driving into the pedestrianised zone – by lunchtime there were no spaces for any extra vehicles!
As well as being a pedestrianised zone, there is plenty of delivery room on Sharrock Street, so why do drivers still abuse the rules and obstruct the public right if way?
