The 2015 Southport Flower Show is underway and what an opening day it was.
This year Loose Women’s Sherrie Hewson opened the show, and stars like Jean-Christophe Novelli, and Shrek were also in attendance (below).
The weather remained nice for the thousands who attended and there was plenty to do.
Each day we will be bringing you a gallery from the day’s events, as well as running a live blog to keep you up-to-date with everything that is happening.

Above: The garden incorporates a house that has crumbled to a ruin through erosion on the mountain side, from this there is a rockery waterfall, leading to a pathway of York stone paving. The garden surrounding has woodland and herbaceous plants.
Shrek’s SwampShrek takes ogre Southport! Shrek brings his famous swamp to Southport ahead of his visit to The Lowry (2 -20 Feb 2016). Go down to the swamp, designed by Mook Gardens.
