Tesco Southport girls are ready for the Queenscourt Star Trekk walk in Friday night.

“Please come into store and have a go on The mega raffle or Tombola from Sunday”.

Friday 20th May – walk starts at Southport Pleasureland
Every year, hoards of dedicated Queenscourt supporters take to the streets of Southport, whatever the weather, to take part in Star Trekk, our 7 mile starlit walk.

In honour of our Silver Jubilee, Queenscourt would like to make our flagship fundraising event the biggest it’s been and we are aiming to get over 1000 walkers to join in. The event is open to everybody and we are inviting men, women and children (as long as they have an adult joining them!) to come and walk with us.

As anyone who has previously taken part will testify, the event is fantastic fun and very memorable. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a unique and fantastic experience whilst raising vital funds to support the work of the hospice.

Last year our 800+ trekkers raised an incredible £70,000 for Queenscourt and we are confident we can raise even more funds for our Silver Jubilee.

The total raised from this important event is crucial in allowing Queenscourt to continue to provide an outstanding level of care for our patients and their families, as well as ensuring we can deliver a broad range of services completely free of charge to those who need us.

Whether you’d like to take part in memory of a loved one, or simply feel strongly about the work of Queenscourt, we do hope to see you there.

How does it work?

The 7 mile walk starts at 9pm from Southport Pleasureland. The venue is open from 7pm, where you can enjoy the evening’s entertainment and a complimentary drink and bite to eat before setting off.

You can sign up today for just £15 – this includes your registration, T-shirt and medal plus refreshments on the night.

The registration fee is used to cover the cost of putting the event on, so sponsorship is really important to us. If you can encourage any of your tax paying friends and family to gift aid their donations then this makes them worth even more – for every £1 raised we can claim back 25% making it worth £1.25!

You really can make a difference…

Since the event started nine years ago our trekkers have raised over £550,000 an amazing amount which goes directly to help our patients and their families!
Your generous fundraising efforts are crucial to us. Thank you.
