Tennis Open Days – North Meols Tennis Club (Southport)

By On The Spot News18th April 2016

    Tennis Open Days

North Meols Tennis Club, situated in Mill Lane Crescent, Churchtown, is hosting Open Days this Saturday and Sunday, 23rd and 24th April, from 10.30am – 2pm.

Everyone is welcome, from those who have never played tennis before to experienced club players. The event offers fun for all the family and provides an ideal opportunity for budding Andy Murrays to try the game for the first time.

The club coach, Rob McNulty, will be on hand with advice and tips, as well as organising fun competitions with some great prizes. Tennis rackets will be available to borrow and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

The Open Days, in conjunction with the LTA, are open to all, whatever your level of experience or ability.

Brian Duckett, Club Secretary, said: “Whether you are eight or eighty, this is a great opportunity to come along and play tennis in a friendly, relaxed and beautiful setting. All you need to bring are your pumps and sports clothing.”

North Meols is one of the area’s leading tennis clubs, with eight all-weather courts, floodlighting and a new purpose-built clubhouse. Social and competitive tennis is played all year round and there is a lively social programme for players and non-players alike.
