Four way temporary traffic lights on Liverpool Road in Birkdale caused chaos for commuters this morning as they desperately tried not to be late for work.
Repairs are taking place to the road surface near to the Aldi supermarket on Liverpool Road in Birkdale but due to the scale of works, four way temporary traffic lights have been installed.
This means motorists travelling down the busy road in and out of Southport have been forced to sit in excruciatingly long tail backs while little traffic from side roads is let through.
