A male teenage cyclist was struck by a car at the junction Eastbourne Road and Upper Aughton Road today at approximately 7.45pm (Wednesday 7 January 2015)
Three ambulances and a rapid response vehicle attended the incident where they treated the teen for injuries sustained in the collision.
A witness at the scene quoted,
“The boy was 14 years old and suffered minor leg and arm injuries”.
An investigation into the incident is on-going.
