Since 1975, Sefton Women’s and Children’s Aid (SWACA) has been providing specialist domestic abuse support services to the women, children and young people of Sefton who are experiencing, or have been affected by, domestic abuse. Last year, SWACA received over 2000 requests for support from the local area.

SWACA provides a host of support services including advocacy, advice, structured programmes of work, parenting support, therapeutic services and one to one/group work, all free to service users. As a registered charity, SWACA is a lifeline to many women and children in Sefton who reach out for support.

To commemorate 45 years of charitable service, SWACA is hosting a Sapphire Charity Ball on Saturday 19th October at The Park Hotel, Aintree. Tickets for this prestigious black tie event are available for £35 each including a welcome drink, a four course meal, music and dancing. A charity auction and raffle will be held during the evening with prizes including a Race Day Package and a Family Fun Package. With event sponsorship from Morecrofts Solicitors and continued support from The Park Hotel along with table sponsorship from Inciner8 and MSC Express Ltd, this promises to be a wonderful evening of entertainment.

As demand for services continues to remain high, and with needs becoming increasingly more complex, SWACA staff are passionate about meeting this demand and can only do so with the support of donors. The Sapphire Charity Ball is a great way to support a local charity continue to provide much needed support within Sefton.
