Summer starting with a bang, crash and wallop at Sefton’s Parks this year.

What better way to celebrate the school holidays and having the children at home than heading of to Sefton’s Parks  every Sunday for live family theatre in the open air.

Pendle Productions have once again teamed up with Sefton Council  to bring you a six week summer season of shows guaranteed to entertain all those aged 3 to 103.

Starting with the irresistible family favorite “Wind in the Willows”  on Sunday 23rd of July (at Derby Park, Oxford Road, Bootle)  you too can experience all of Toad’s adventures as he rides through the park creating mayhem where ever he goes.  This musical follows life on the riverbank and you can join Badger, Ratty, Mole and Toady as they picnic with performances at 12 mid day and 2.30 pm. You will also have the opportunity to see “Wind in the Willows” again on Sunday 30th July at Woodland Dunes, Lifeboat Road, Formby.

Following that on the 6th of August is the fantastic new production of “Martha the Cat’s Great big adventure”  (at Marine Gardens,  Marine Crescent, Waterloo) with beautiful costumes and set.  Martha lives in a back alley way and with Scruffy the dog she and all the local community head to the seaside for a summer holiday.  But all is not what it seems! See how Martha helps solve the mystery of the escaped lion and more importantly spreads happiness where ever she goes.

With the classic tale of  “Alice in Wonderland” on the 13th of August (Derby Park, Oxford Road, Bootle),  “Wizard of Oz” on the 20th (King’s Gardens, Promenade, Southport) and   “Hansel and Gretel” (Woodland Dunes, Lifeboat Road, Formby) on Saturday the 26th of August  finishing the season in comic musical style providing something this year for everyone no matter what your taste.
