Strictly Stars Len Goodman and Arlene Phillips ‘Holiday of a life time film in Southport’

Local businessman and antique dealer John Nolan received a phone call on Tuesday 2nd September 2014 from the BBC in London asking him did he have a set of 6 plates of a particular pattern.

John who has been in the business for over 50 years looked through his 90,000 items, he came up with the 6 plates’

To Nolans amazement he was told the BBC could not find the particular high tea plates anywhere.

The plates where for Strictly Stars Len Goodman and Arlene Phillips.

They are making series called “Holiday of a Life Time” and today (Thursday) the plates were picked up and John Nolan was invited to meet the stars in the Ramada Hotel at lunch time.

John and his FAMOUS BLACK BOOK was on hand for Len and Arlene to sign.

Being in the antique trade John gave the stars and the film crew a present each. A 70 year old “SOUTHPORT” memorabilia Goss Crested China item.

John Nolan who was in favour of the BID system YES vote is doing his part in attracting the people and the TV companies to Southport.

At the end of September The Antique Road Trip returns for the forth time to Nolans Antique Shop in Portland Street, Southport

This coming Monday (8th September) The Antique Road Show is at the Cathedral in Liverpool and today the a brand new series of “Holiday of a Life Time” was filmed in Southport.
“It just shows you how important the internet is for promoting your business” nolan said

Today the 4th Sept. Len Goodman and Arlene Phillips both signed what has become the famous Black Book.
