In honour of Friday the 13th, we are excited to announce our new attraction for Halloween. This Autumn, a purpose built, hyper real American Street dressed with pumpkins will be created in the town centre. Visitors and families will be able to cross picket fenced lawns to knock on life size doors and windows. Behind each, a character will be lying in wait to either offer up a treat or to trick Halloween loving visitors.
This is the fifth year for our annual Halloween Festival, Spooky Southport. Last year’s haunted maze and Halloween themed pop up performances saw thousand’s visit the town centre over the half term to enjoy the interactive events on offer. The four day festival will see a few extra pop up surprises along the way with great events and offers put on by businesses throughout the town centre. Businesses are welcome to submit their events, offers and promotions for the half term week to be promoted free on the festival’s social media channels. With over 10,000 followers, the festival regularly reaches up to half a million people, with visitors from throughout the region excited for the event.

“Spooky Southport has grown in popularity each year, with visitors coming in from throughout the region and thousands talking about the event on social media. The maze proved popular last year and we can’t wait to see the haunted street come to life! We are working to make help use it to promote local businesses with some being able to provide treats for the families or for the characters to provide clues to treats hidden in local shops.”
