The original and the best search for new talent in Southport is back with a bang at the Victoria Pub tonight (Wed).
Now in its 4th year ‘Southport’s Got Talent’ features 10 hopefuls, all competing for the chance to win £1,000 in cash and the chance to appear on the Southport Christmas Lights switch on in front of a whopping 30 thousand people. The competition is open to entrants over the age of 14, application forms are available this evening at the Victoria, From MOJO’s Gents Barbers and Beauty Bar on Duke Street or from the Southport Visiter reception on Tulketh Street.
Tonight’s show will feature a special American theme given that its independence Day. There’ll be live performances from local teen dance sensation Mitch Mimms who’s choreographed a routine especially for this evening. Mitch will be joined by the very talented Megan Broadhurst from Scarisbrick who’ll perform the Star Spangled Banner. The Victoria have also devised a special American themed food menu.
Judging and performing on the night will be the star of Britain’s Got Talent- Steven Hall. He became a TV and internet sensation last year with his hilarious comedy dancing. Also judging will be Jacqui Lewis. Jacqui is a performing arts teacher based in Southport with a wealth of experience including work alongside Andrew Lloyd Webber. The panel is completed by Andrew Brown, from the editorial team at the Southport Visiter newspaper. Entrance is free and the show starts at 7.30pm.
