Schoolboy Cole brings his Talent to Town at Heat 8 of Southport’s Got Talent

The Southport’s Got Talent audience were treated to another quality evening of entertainment with a regional flavour on Wednesday at the Victoria

The night was opened with a very modern pop/urban dance act called Click 22 who performed their own material and entertained everyone young and old with their high energy performance. Best friends Owen Davies 22 and CJ aka Casey Jerome age 21 both from Chester formed the duo’s material included Lol and ‘Do it all night’

The boys will be performing at Manchester Gay Pride this weekend and should appear at our forth coming Christmas Lights switch

Taking part in the heat was Catherine Cahill a 24 year old fan of musical theatre and mother of two boys, 15 year old Holly Macgregor a pupil at the wonderful CD School of Music in Rufford and 16 year old Formby Guitarist and vocalist Sarah Beatrice Clifford, who wants to be a music teacher

Judges included the newly appointed resident Judge Catherine Whitehall a music teacher, singer, actor and dancer. Actress Natalie Fletcher (who was recently ’murdered’ in a BBC’s Crime Watch reconstruction) and local entertainer & businessman Chris Hesketh

As always our Judges had a very difficult decision but after some deliberation awarded a Wild Card spot to local girl Sarah but Winner on the night was 16 year old Taylor Range from Widnes who studies at the Hammond School and has been in a number of Musicals including Her Benny playing alongside our own Neil Newton!

Taylor sang Clown by Emeli Sande and Without a Word by Birdy

Manchester resident Lauren Ormesher did a special performance to announce a very special outdoor charity concert being organised at the Victoria on Air Show weekend

Our second half opening guest artist was a very special young man and who rendered our organisers, Judges and audience speechless with a staggering performance

Cole Emsley a singer, just age 11 performed three numbers stole the show and was then implored to continue after finishing his set as he was simply brilliant, giving a spell bounding performance

This talented schoolboy has just won a place in the National Final of the UK’s Festival of Stars and deservedly has just earned a place at the Sylvia Young Theatre School theatre school which was attended by Amy Winehouse

There is a charity concert on 3rd September in Burscough to help raise money for Cole’s expenses.  For further information contact Caroline on 07970 896943 or 01704 821755

Watch out for a big press release which will be made next week regarding big changes to this year’s completion
