Colour Blast Early Bird Offer Closing Soon!

ONE of Southport’s flagship events is back – and this year it intends to be bigger and brighter!

There’s still time to get your early bird tickets for the Southport Colour Blast in aid of Galloway’s Society for the Blind, but you’ll have to act fast as early bird prices finish at midnight on Wednesday 31^st May.

The Colour Blast, which will take place on Sunday 9th July, gives people the opportunity to run, walk, hop, skip or dance their way around the 5k course, starting at Princes Park. What makes this event so unique is that, along the route, participants will pass through five different colour stations where they will be showered in coloured powder paint, leaving them painted like a rainbow!

Anna Eddowes-Scott, Fundraiser for Galloway’s said: “We are really excited about our 2017 Colour Blast. We received lots of positive feedback from people that took part in the Colour Blast last year, about how much they enjoyed the event. We are looking forward to seeing them again at this year’s Colour Blast, hopefully bringing lots of their friends and family to join in the fun too.”

Registration forolour Blast is just £10 for under 16s, £15 for adults or £50 for a family ticket (2 adults & 2 children). After 31^st May, the adult fee will increase to £20. This includes entry to the Colour Blast, an official event t-shirt, a packet of colour for the all-important colour cloud start, refreshments after the walk, a medal, and entertainment. Anna added: “We would love it if both previous and brand new supporters took part in our 2017 Colour Blast. It’s a great excuse to get your friends and family together and soak up the atmosphere whilst helping create positive change for those living with sight loss in the local community.”

Galloway’s Society for the Blind believes that nobody should have to face sight loss alone or without the right support.  Each year they must raise £1million to allow them to deliver vital services to support blind and partially sighted people throughout their sight loss journey, providing them with opportunities that the sighted world often take for granted.
