Southport Trinity Blue U15’s win the Cup and League Double – 2018
After already being crowned the U15 League Champions 2018 – Southport Trinity U15 Blues also produced a great 2-0 victory to win the “Under 15 Karen Potter Trophy” played at Walton Hall Park, Liverpool on Tues 22nd May.
On a beautiful sunny evening in Liverpool – the game got off to a blistering start with Archie Phillips getting the first goal in under 18 seconds from kick off.
The game was then played at great pace with both teams pressuring from the start leading to an end to end match. The second well worked goal came from Jack Meadows and the whole squad gave outstanding contributions including solid defending and a classy save from “Trinity Winners” goalie – Joe Langford.
Formby JSC pressure led to some goal chances in the early part of the second half, but Trinity stayed strong and played the game out with the final score remaining at 2-0.
