Temporary Library To Close
Southport’s temporary library in Tulketh Street will close its doors for the final time this Friday (March 1) at 5pm.
The newly refurbished facility on Lord Street is set to re-open on Tuesday, April 2, and the closure of the temporary library will enable staff to transfer books and equipment, and make other final preparations. During the changeover period, there will be a book ‘drop and pick up’ facility available in Cambridge Walks from 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday.
A spokesman for Sefton Council said: “We are now only weeks away from the opening of the new-look library as part of the Atkinson on Lord Street. “For the next few weeks, people can use the drop and pick up point, renew or reserve books online, or call the usual library number – 0151 934 2118.”
Southport Library at the Atkinson is to re-open at 9.30am on Tuesday, April 2.
