Southport solicitors give back to the NHS

13th April 2020

Southport solicitors Breens Solicitors are donating 10% of fees that come from making Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney to Southport and Ormskirk District Hospital.

The donation will cover all Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney made between 23 March and 31 May 2020.

Managing Director, Stephen Breen said, “Since the start of the pandemic we have seen a significant increase in the number of people who want to make a Will or a Lasting Power of Attorney.

“Not since the second world war have so many people been forced to confront their own mortality. And with time on their hands, many people are taking advantage of our Will writing services.

“While all companies face challenges during this time and money is tight, we would like to acknowledge and give back to those who are on the front line of this pandemic, NHS staff. That is why we are donating 10% of all net profits from Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney to our local NHS trust.”

To assist key workers from all professions, the firm is also offering clients out of hours appointments to work around their shifts.

Stephen Breen continued, “Key workers are working round the clock to keep us alive, to keep us fed, and to keep us safe. That’s why, while we work from home, we have decided to ditch the 9 to 5 office hours and offer more flexible appointments. Depending upon staff availability, we will work round the client’s needs rather than our own working hours. We are after all, all in this together.”
