Southport set for Colour-tastic fun!

ONLINE registration for the Southport Colour Blast closes on Friday (July 7), but organisers, Galloway’s Society for the Blind have confirmed registration will be open on the day.

The popular event is taking place at Princes Park, Southport on July 9th.

All those aged over six-years-old can sign up to take part in the Southport Colour Blast.

Anna Eddowes-Scott, Fundraiser for Galloway’s and event organiser, said: ‘We’re delighted to announce that we still have a limited number of places left for our Southport Colour Blast. If you’d like to join us on our family friendly route, taking in parts of Princes Park, Ocean Plaza and the Promenade, whilst being blasted with brightly coloured powder paint, then we’d love to see you there.’

‘The weather forecast for this weekend looks great, so we would encourage anyone who is wanting to take part in this event to register beforehand to avoid disappointment.  All of the money raised by the Colour Blast will continue to help Galloway’s make sure that nobody in the Sefton area has to face sight loss alone or without the right support.  Not only will our participants have a great day out, but they’ll also be showing their support for blind and partially sighted people living in the local area.’

Tickets are available now:

Adult (Over 16) £20
Child (6 to 16)  £10

To book your place visit: www.gallowayscolourblast.eventbrite.co.uk or call 01772 744148. On the day registration will be open from 10am on the Sunday.

For people who don’t want to take part in the Colour Blast itself, but still would like to be involved, Galloway’s are also looking for volunteers to marshal the route and cover runners in the colourful powder paint as they pass by!
