Southport Seaside 10k Runners Appeal

The Natterjack Seaside 10k and 2k Fun Run will return this September and Galloway’s Society for the Blind are appealing for people to take up the challenge and run to help people living with sight loss.

Anna Eddowes-Scott, Community Fundraiser for Galloway’s, also commented: “We are so grateful to Darrell and the Natterjack Seaside 10k team for their continued support of the services that Galloway’s provides to blind and partially sighted people within the local area. We hope to get plenty of runners taking part to support Galloway’s again this year because we need all the support we can get to reach out to the ever increasing number of people living with sight loss in Southport and the surrounding areas.”

Last year’s event saw a record number of runners take to the Marine Lake and Promenade course, with many participants choosing to use the event to support local sight loss charity, Galloway’s Society for the Blind, by raising vital funds through sponsorship.

Darrell, one of the race organisers for the seaside 10k reported:

“Our 2016 race is proving to be more popular than ever with entries coming in fast. This year we are giving away a pair of Asics latest high profile running shoe. Natterjack’s chosen charity, Galloway’s, aims to create positive change for blind and partially sighted people living in a sighted world and provides a variety of services including computer classes, guided holidays, daytrips, activities, drop in days, emotional support and equipment advice.
