Southport Scout hut ransacked by thieves

Thieves made off with 2 generators worth around £1,000 after breaking in and smashing up the 62nd Southport Scout hut on Bankfield Lane.

The 62nd Southport Scout hut on Bankfield Lane, Southport broken into, doors kicked in, walls kicked through, cupboards trashed over the weekend. To top it off two petrol generators worth about £1,000 stolen.

Scout leader, Phil Trigg said: “There are some unscrupulous moral free people out there these days. What is the world coming too!”

The Police were informed at 11.00 on Sunday morning when the break in was discovered. Police turned up at 4.45pm and looked for fingerprints but found none.
