Southport Quads tasked to two teenagers cut off by the tide on Ainsdale Beach

Southport Quads tasked to reports of two teenagers cut off by the tide on Ainsdale Beach at 18:24 (August 5 2017).

The quads arrived on scene at 18:37 to find the casualties had made their way to safety and returned to station.

CALL OUT – 18/6/17 – 16:25 – Southport Lifeboat and Quads called out to two jobs; a missing child, later found by HM Coastguard, and a woman in distress in the water.

Upon arrival at Lifeboat Road, Formby the quads liased with the RNLI lifeguards on duty. The woman had been helped from the water by the public and family members.

Southport Lifeboat dropped two crew members ashore to assist the casualty along with the RNLI lifeguards and Southport quad crew.

The casualty was stabilised by paramedics who had been transported across the dunes to by the quads before she was transferred to hospital via air ambulance.

A great example of multi-agency cooperation with Southport Lifeboat, RNLI Lifeguards, HM Coastguard and the North West Ambulance Service.

CALL OUT – 19/6/17 – 17:58 – Southport lifeboat crew paged to reports of a teenager in difficulty on the marsh north of the sandworks at Southport.

Southport quads and shore crew attended along with HM Coastguard Southport. The individual made their way back to the coast road without incident.

Well done to all involved in both incidents.
