Message From Southport Neighbourhood Inspector Graham Fisher

I’d like to take this opportunity to correct some inaccurate information circulating on social media and reassure local residents that Southport Police Station is still very much operational. Whilst the enquiry office opening times have been optimized (see back of newsletter for times), patrol officers continue to service the Southport to Formby area from Southport Police Station 24hrs a day.

In addition the 19 strong @MerPolSouthport Neighbourhood team of Police Officers and PCSO’s also work from Southport Police Station.

Neighbourhood officers have been responsible for over 20 arrests over the months from January to March this year.

Please take advantage of the opportunities my team make for you to meet with them to discuss any local concerns you have. The full range of police surgery dates can be found on the Sefton page at www.merseyside.police.uk

You can also follow the neighbourhood on Twitter @MerPolSouthport for updates on events and work of neighbourhood officers.
