Southport Police nab another alleged bike thief
A bike stolen from outside a shop in Churchtown on Friday 6th of July was recovered later the same night by a police officer of the Southport Local Policing Team.
A 17 year old boy from Southport is due to be interviewed over the theft this week.
The bike had been left unlocked outside the shop, while the owner went inside. Please, ALWAYS lock your bike to a post or railing before you leave it, and invest in a metal ‘D’ lock, not a cheap cable lock that can be easily cut off. In this case, this bike has been returned to its owner. Many victims of bike theft aren’t as lucky.
