Spreading good will in Southport.
Officers from Southport Community Police Team have presented a Southport resident with Gift Vouchers on behalf of Merseyside Police Charitable Trust, from it’s Christmas Fund.
The lady was nominated to receive the gift on behalf of the charity, due to the detrimental effect and upset the crime has had on her and her family.
The Charity is funded by donations from operational Police Officers and Police Staff.
The aim of the Trust is to support individuals who are victims of crime and or violence or who have suffered some kind of loss.
A spokesperson from the force said: ” Whilst we acknowledge that crime has an impact on all victims, each case is reviewed own it’s own merits.”
