Southport Pleasureland After Dark

11th October 2016

A nerve-shredding scare experience will hit Southport this October with the arrival of Southport Pleasureland ‘After Dark’ – when fun flips to fear.

Offering all the fun of the fear, the new 16+ Halloween theme-festival will change the face of the amusement park from its family-friendly daytime Happy Halloween, attraction to something much darker.

Once families have cleared the park the rides and fun entertainments at the park will bask in a dead light. New scare houses and the park’s old, overgrown abandoned zoo, still with its original animal enclosures and some ‘dead’ interesting new guests, will become the nocturnal playground of Typhus – and this psycho clown’s craving for others’ fear. Ready to play?

Typhus’ invitation to indulge in the ride of your life on the park’s dark rides and then run for your life through the Zombie Zoo, is heralded by a search for the region’s best screams. In a competition that’s a total scream, each winner will provide a sound track for some of the attraction’s marketing and the event itself. The Pleasureland After Dark team is running Scream Auditions in partnership with Capital Radio as part of the station’s Make Some Noise charity initiative.

Contestants taking part in the phone-in auditions this Friday (October 14) with Capital Liverpool will have the chance to scream for real if they’re lucky enough to win one of six places for them and three mates at the VIP opening event at Southport Pleasureland After Dark on October 21.
