Southport Parents Climb Mount Snowdon to Inspire Children

Proud parents whose children attend Merefield school in Ainsdale have climbed Mount Snowden (Sunday 28th August) to raise much needed funds for a safe and inspiring playground that all of the special needs children can access and be inspired by.

Organiser Sandie Nolan said, “I have a son called Ben who is 14-years-old.  Ben had meningitis at 21 days old, this left Ben with a severe brain trauma and the life expectancy of 6 months.”

“Fourteen years later he is still going strong and attends an amazing school called Merefield. They really know how to bring out the best in my boy and he has come on in leaps and bounds since he has been in this school.”

“I am hoping to raise some money towards an adventure playground at Merefield so that my son and all the other fantastic kids that go to Merefield school will have a safe and inspiring place to play and learn.”
