    Missing Southport girl found safe and well

    Missing Southport girl Katie Galt has been found safe and well, her mum, Elsie has reported.

    Thousands of people joined the search for Katie after she was reporter missing from home on Monday.

    Her mum has thanked everyone for their help and support.

    She said: “Katie has been found and is well thank you for all of your help. What a great team effort.”

    Elsie Galt is appealing for her missing daughter to return home.

    Elsie said “With a great feeling of the inevitable and a heavy heart can you please share this picture of our daughter Katie GalLt who went missing from the Southport area yesterday morning (Tuesday 5th January 2015)

    She appears extremely capable but is very vulnerable in social situations has complex needs and may be depressed.

    We believe that she may be heading north. She was wearing a grey pair of tracksuit bottoms and a black top. She does have an iPhone with her.

    Thank you so much everyone who has been in touch and are working behind the scenes to find our daughter katie Galt. There is no news so far but I know that everyone is working hard trying to find her and thank you so much to those people and to all of you who have shared our posts
