Southport MP shows his true Brexit colours

16th March 2019
Southport MP Damien Moore as decided to show his true colours in the propaganda sheet he puts out to support Conservative Party candidates in the coming local elections.
The former Preston supermarket manager came under fire in previous years for putting out a huge leaflet at local election time which was coloured green instead of Tory blue. This time there is no chance of anyone pretending that the Southport MP is hiding his political hue.
While Labour and Liberal candidates are out themselves pounding the streets seeking votes to be elected as local councillors. Damien is giving his diminishing Tory team a lift by having the A2 tabloid leaflet delivered to every home in the town.
The mail issue of Mr Moore’s leaflet is Brexit. It remains unclear, still, how closely the Southport MP is allied to Jacob Rees Mogg’s ‘European Reform Group’ who are standing out against Mrs May’s ‘deal’ with the EU. There are huge Tory splits on Europe. Dukes Ward councillor Sir Ron Watson CBE is an avid pro-european. His colleague, Cllr Terry Jones in Ainsdale is certainly not. Tensions within the Conservatives over Europe are leading to casualties with former Conservative Minister Nick Boles amnnouncing that he is scrapping his membership of the Grantham and Stamford Tories where he is the MP.
