Southport man who went on Willow Grove rampage handed eight week suspended prison sentence 

A Southport man has been given an eight week suspended prison sentence after he tried to assault a nightclub bouncer and ended up naked on the verandah of lloyds bar.

Johnathan Fleming, 27 previously pleaded guilty to three charges of criminal damage and one charge of using threatening behaviour with intent to cause fear of unlawful violence.

Fleming was caught last year after leaving club monroe to get a knife from a nearby takeaway to then threaten a bouncer.

He blamed a spiked drink for the incident – which ended with him embarking on a bizarre rampage of vandalism before he was arrested wearing only his pants on the roof of the Willow grove pub on Lord street.
