David John Clark of Southport charged with burglary at Regis Hair Salon Marble Place Southport Town centre.
Merseyside Police confirmed they have charged 33-year-old David John Clark with burglary after an incident at the Tulketh Street based salon on December 19.
The salon manager at the time reported that the only items which had been taken in the smash and grab raid were empty display boxes which masqueraded as expensive hair straighteners.
Staff were forced to replace a glass window pane which had been smashed in order to gain entry to the premesis.
David John Clark is set to appear at court on May 18.
