Southport Lifeboat units attend multiple incidents along the Sefton Coast

1st June 2020

CALL OUT – 31/5/20  – Another busy afternoon for all the Southport Lifeboat units as they dealt with multiple incidents along the Sefton Coast.

These incidents included three seperate children in difficulty in the water, a number of missing person searches, people getting cut off by the incoming tide and also removed a number of inflatables that had began drifting out to sea.

The units recovered at 19:30 with our quads having covered 39 miles each between Southport and Formby.

Please remember that our charity is not part of the RNLI and raises money locally to save lives in the Southport area.

During this time our main source of income, the charity shop, is closed. There are other ways which you can help us continue to save lives, including LifeboatLotto or online donations. Details can be found on our website www.southport-lifeboat.org.uk

Thank you for your continued support!
